‘I’ve got something to tell you!’ KIIS FM’s 3pm Pick-Up host announces she is pregnant and it’s ‘definitely a boy’

KIIS FM host Katie ‘Monty’ Dimond has announced she is expecting her third baby.

The presenter revealed the exciting news to listeners of her radio show 3pm Pick Up, which she co-hosts with AFL WAG Rebecca Judd and Yumi Stynes, on Thursday.

‘I’ve just got something to tell you guys. I’m going to have my third baby,’ Monty said in audio that she recorded last week when she told Yumi and their producers off air.

Monty, whose due date in February 2021, told listeners: ‘I’m 15 weeks now, and I kept it to myself for quite a while because I had quite a few scares along the way and I just didn’t know if the little one was going to grip.

‘But I think it has gripped, I think it’s hanging on in there.’

While she doesn’t know her child’s gender, she said she thinks she is having another boy following a recent scan.

Baby on the way: Monty said, 'I'm 15 weeks now, and I kept it to myself for quite a while because I had quite a few scares along the way and I just didn't know if the little one was going to grip. But I think it has gripped, I think it's hanging on in there'

‘I so saw a wang (in the scan), everyone is like “you can’t tell,” I didn’t get it confirmed, but I’m like mate, my boys are born with big schlongs – it’s undeniable,’ she laughed.

‘I’m just not meant to have a girl. It’s definitely a boy,’ she quipped.

Monty joked that she was ‘too old’ to be pregnant and said: ‘The last baby I had was six years ago, the difference between then and now, I’m close to 40 now, I feel like 100 years old.

She added: ‘I’m so very grateful, don’t get me wrong – I’ve had several miscarriages and it was a while to get here so it’s a very wanted baby – but I get why we don’t do this at this age.’

Monty, who is married to radio producer Sam Cavanagh, also shared a cute video of her two sons reacting to her pregnancy news.

In the clip, she plays ‘would you rather’ with her boys – Baxter, eight and Arlo, six -asking them if they would rather a bunny or a gold fish over a baby brother or sister.

They preferred a bunny and gold fish over a sibling in both instances, but when Monty revealed they were going to be big brothers they where surprised and overjoyed.
