Downton Abbey’s Tuppence Middleton and Kit Harington go on unsuccessful date in virtual play Burn

Downton Abbey’s Tuppence Middleton brands Kit Harington ‘boring’ as she gives him harsh feedback on their date in hilarious clip from virtual play Burn

They’ve been enjoying some time away from their busy schedules amid the coronavirus pandemic.

But Tuppence Middleton and Kit Harington were back to the grind as they starred in a new virtual play called Burn, which they filmed during the UK lockdown.

In an excerpt from the production by Popcorn Writing Award finalist Chris Thompson, the Downton Abbey star, 33, called the former Game of Thrones actor, also 33, ‘boring’ as they went on an unsuccessful date after meeting at an art gallery.

The video kicked off with the unimpressed pair rounding off their dinner as the handsome screen star reached out for feedback on how he acted during their outing.

‘I’m sorry, this hasn’t been the best date has it? Here I am with someone who went on a date with me who genuinely had a rubbish time is prepared to give me honest, unadulterated feedback, I’d be a fool to say no!’, Kit said.

The actress didn’t hold back as she declared: ‘You’re boring! You don’t realise it, but you are.

‘I think that’s what made this evening even more tedious. You think your stories are interesting when actually they weren’t.’

Caught off guard, the confused suitor asked: ‘None of them?’, to which Tuppence reassured: ‘The one when someone slapped you was OK. I could identify with that one.”

The thespian also criticised their ‘sweat patches’ as she added: ‘The international Space Station could see them. Even the waiters were commenting on them!’, to which a frustrated Kit replied: ‘F***!’

Burn, which was due to be performed at Assembly Festival this month, follows the story of Ashley and Sam who forge a relationship and are quickly forced to tackle grief head on.
