Bella Hadid paid tribute to her grandmother, Ans van den Henrik, on the one-year anniversary of her passing at the age of 78, following a lengthy cancer battle.
In memory of her beloved ‘Oma,’ the 23-year-old supermodel uploaded two pictures to her Instagram Story on Wednesday evening.
She heart-wrenchingly captioned a throwback snap of herself, as a tot, wrapped in the arms of Yolanda Hadid’s mother: ‘My favorite place to be.’

The pair’s close bond transcended way past her childhood, as evidenced by Bella’s second picture, which showed her gently planting a kiss on top of her grandma’s head.
The catwalk queen could also be seen holding her hand, as she sat closely next to her on the couch with the blinds down behind them.
Bella’s mom also marked the loss of her mother on her own social media with a series of images from Henrik’s funeral, which was held in the Netherlands.

‘The loss of my mamma one year ago left a heartache no one can heal, but her love that lives within me nobody can steal,’ the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 56, wrote on Instagram.
In addition to sharing a solo shot of herself embracing her mom’s casket, the Dutch-American model posted one with her three kids standing by the coffin, which was covered in beautiful white roses and dozens of pink artificial butterflies.
Yolanda was surrounded by her supermodel daughters Bella, Gigi, 25, and 21-year-old son, Anwar Hadid.

Following her mother’s passing, the Believe Me author’s children shared a number of candid photos of their maternal grandmother.
‘Our beautiful Oma has been laid to rest peacefully. Finally able to be without pain…My spirit animal, idol, twin,’ Bella began.
She continued: ‘I am so grateful for the backbone that was built by her, and for giving birth to my best friend and my everything.’

After praising her longtime confidant’s ‘strength, humor, grace, attitude, love,’ the Vogue cover girl lamented about how she will ‘never being able to hug her again.’
At the time, Gigi, added a statement of her own, along with more photos of her grandmother.
‘OUR QUEEN ANGEL fought cancer six times in her life with courage, strength, and grace while being the greatest mother and grandmother,’ Gigi wrote. ‘She is an honorable guide we will carry with us forever. We love you more than words, our beautiful wonderful Oma.’

Earlier in the day, Gigi surprised her 56 million Instagram followers with a number of stunning pregnancy portraits taken in late July.
‘Cherishing this time. appreciate all the love & well wishes ♡ will never forget creating these special images,’ wrote the supermodel, as she thanked her ‘friends,’ photographers Liugi and Iango, stylist Gabriella Karefa-Johnson and makeup artist Erin Parsons, all of whom worked on her shoot. ‘Thank you. I love you!’
The bombshell, who is expecting her first child with 27-year-old singer Zayn Malik this fall, gushed about ‘growin an angel.’
