RHOA’s Cynthia Bailey chats 20lb weight loss during lockdown

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey claimed she gained so much weight during lockdown that her wedding gown designers ‘were not happy’ that she couldn’t fit in her dress.

‘I actually gained 20 pounds from the quarantine,’ the Alabama-born 53-year-old alleged to Us Weekly on Monday.

It wasn’t until Cynthia returned to her Georgia home from California where her fiancé Mike Hill lived, that she shed the weight with intermittent fasting and working out.

‘I was here at Lake Bailey by myself, so I was able to, kind of, control what’s in the refrigerator,’ Bailey explained.

‘I was able to be healthy. I was able to like, you know, start exercising again and just get control over my diet and my eating.’

The former Wilhelmina Model added: ‘I wouldn’t eat anything until, like, maybe four or five in the afternoon and I’d eat maybe one or two things. And as you can see, it worked!’

Cynthia was promoting her paid partnership with Seagram and she created her very own signature drink, the Bailey Bellini.

‘It’s light and it’s tasty,’ Bailey gushed.

‘Seagram’s Escapes has a lot of different flavors but peach Bellini is my favorite. Being a Georgia peach and [having] a Housewives peach, Bellini is definitely my favorite!’

Speaking of which, the Bailey Wine Cellar owner just threw her Bronx-born groom-to-be a Patrón tequila-themed 50th birthday bash last Wednesday.

Hill – who included a chapter about Cynthia in his memoir Open Mike – just confirmed their October 10th nuptials are still very much on.

However, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp’s executive order on wearing masks and social distancing bans gatherings of more than 50 people unless there is six feet of space between each person.

As of Tuesday, there have reportedly been 240K confirmed COVID-19 cases in Georgia leading to 5,045 deaths.

Bailey and the Fox Sports analyst also got engaged as the Bravo cameras rolled back in July 2019 following an 11-month romance.

It will be the Black Lives Matter protester’s second time down the aisle after ending her seven-year marriage to Peter A. Thomas in 2017.

Cynthia also has a ‘sexually-fluid’ 20-year-old daughter Noelle Robinson with her ex-boyfriend, Cool Runnings alum Leon Robinson.

Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, and Porsha Williams have all confirmed they’re returning for the 13th season of TRHOA, which commenced filming on July 16.
