Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveals the one ad campaign she refused to do

She’s previously admitted to feeling insecure about revealing her body.

So when Gillette approached Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’ to star in a ‘body positivity’ campaign for Venus razors, the answer was a resounding ‘no’. 

Appearing on Thursday’s Kyle and Jackie O show, the 45-year-old shared the story of how she’d previously turned down a lucrative television ad campaign for Venus razors, as she feared she’d have to show off her physical ‘imperfections’.  

‘I didn’t get much information [about what the ad would entail], but I was told the previous campaign was about showing your flaws. Like your cellulite and all that stuff,’ Jackie told her co-host Kyle Sandilands. 

Intrigued, Kyle queried: ‘What flaws were you supposed to show?’ 

‘I don’t know, I didn’t get any further [through the casting process] to ask the question. I just got told, ‘Just so you know, their prior campaign is all about loving your flaws’… Cellulite, stretch marks, love handles’, she explained.   

Jackie explained that the ad would have been similar to soap brand Dove’s famous body positivity campaign, which was based around the idea of accepting yourself no matter your flaws. 

‘It had nothing to do with washing flaws away. They were showing off their imperfections,’ she explained. 

Jackie’s confession comes after she spoke about feeling insecure about her ’round’ derrière.

‘Mine’s more of a rounder shape… not as big as a Kardashian,’ Jackie said about her bottom on KIIS FM in June. 

Jackie said she had no interest in showing off her body on Instagram, joking that she’d leave that job to the ‘Tammy Hembrows of the world’.   

‘I just don’t want it, it’s not my thing, I don’t like showing my a**e. Never have!’ she declared.
