Ireland Baldwin shows bruised face in Instagram clip while thanking supporters after violent robbery

Ireland Baldwin took to social media on Sunday to express gratitude for kindness extended to her after being the victim of a violent robbery.  

The 24-year-old model posted a short video clip on her Instagram Stories showing her bruised face.

‘Thank you to anyone who wrote me something kind,’ Ireland wrote as a caption for her roughly 621,000 followers.

The daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger revealed her injuries in an Instagram post Saturday as she described being attacked by a woman ‘high on drugs’ and having her belongings taken.

She also issued a stark warning for her followers on the social media platform. 

‘Yesterday in the late afternoon, I was attacked by a woman who was high out of her mind on drugs and desperate for cash.’ Ireland wrote alongside two photos of her bruised face.

‘She decked me in my face in a parking lot and took my belongings and jumped in a getaway car while her husband took off. All was sorted with the police and she was arrested. 

Ireland said that she was lucky to have witnesses to the attack but unfortunately found out from police that muggings are becoming more common as people are struggling amid the coronavirus pandemic. 

‘Luckily I had witnesses and got assisted really quickly. The cops told me this is happening frequently because people are desperate for money right now due to Coronavirus and people being out of work. 

‘There is a lot of theft and muggings going down. Posting this to remind everyone to be really careful and watch your surroundings. These are really difficult times and we need to look out for one another.’ 

Ireland didn’t confirm where the attack happened but she is currently based in Los Angeles.

She was seen smiling on Tuesday as she headed to dinner at Nobu in Malibu with friends.  

Ireland was born in Los Angeles and appeared in 2019 at the Comedy Central Roast of her father, Alec.
