Today’s Richard Wilkins shares a rare photo of his daughter Rebecca as he celebrates her birthday

He’s the proud father of five children. 

And on Sunday, Channel Nine’s Richard Wilkins paid tribute to his first daughter, Rebecca, as she celebrated her birthday.

Sharing a rare photo alongside Rebecca, her husband, James, and daughter, Bella, the entertainment reporter looked every inch the proud grandfather.

‘So proud of my beautiful Becky, She’s always done everything perfectly and continues to do so,’ he began.

‘Happy Birthday my Darling, and hearty congratulations to you, James and Bella.’

In the photo, the veteran reporter is seen leaning over the birthday girl as she marked her special day.

A second photo sees the doting dad holding up a black and white portrait of his little girl as he smiled at it.

Rebecca is Richard’s second oldest child and eldest daughter.

And while she does not work in the media, Rebecca is still close to her father and half-brother, Christian.

In February 2016, when Rebecca married her longtime beau James Bateman in Bali, the entire Wilkins clan was present.  

Speaking to the Daily Mail, weeks before the wedding, Christian said he was thrilled to be involved in Bec’s big day.

‘I’m going to be a bridesman. My sister and I are very close. I was honoured because I’m obviously close to her fiancé as well,’ he said.

‘I’ve gone with her to all the dress fittings and all the bridesmaids’ fittings, so it was nice to be part of that.’
