Gun horror in sleepy Yorkshire village as man, 58, dies after ‘being blasted in chest’ – leading to arrests of three men and a woman on suspicion of murder

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man died following a suspected shooting in a North Yorkshire village.
The 58-year-old, who has not been named, died in hospital after suffering serious injuries to his chest in Carlin How in Redcar, at 4.30pm on Friday.
Police swarmed the area, near Loftus, following reports a man had been critically injured.
Cleveland Police said his injuries were believed to have been caused by a firearm.
Three men aged 31, 32 and 35 and a woman aged 32 have now been arrested and are being held in custody while inquiries continue.

Investigators, including one with a camera, wore PPE as they continued to hunt for evidence today
Two ambulances, as well as an officer, and the Great North Air Ambulance scrambled to the scene on Brotton Road on Friday evening.
The helicopter arrived with a doctor and paramedic and they accompanied the victim to James Cook hospital by road, TeessideLive reported.
Residents told the news site that armed police were present ‘all over’ the area.
The incident saw all entrances into the village blocked by police.
Crime scene investigators remain at the scene in Carlin How today, with a cordon in place to cover the Brotton Road footpath.
The road has since reopened to traffic as authorities comb the area for evidence,
