He has a reputation as being one of the hardest working people in the entertainment industry.

So it isn’t surprising that Grant Denyer thought that he’d have trouble adapting to the slower pace of life during the coronavirus pandemic- but instead, the popular TV presenter has ‘relished’ it.

‘To be absolutely honest, I’ve had a couple of crazy years… In fact, I’ve had 300 nights in hotels in the last two and a half years,’ he told the Daily Telegraph on Saturday.

‘It was a real chance to restore, replenish and revitalise’: On Friday, Family Feud host Grant Denyer revealed to the Daily telegraph why he has ‘cherished’ the coronavirus pandemic- as it gave him extra time to rest and see his family

‘My tank was pretty empty, so it was a real chance to restore, replenish and revitalise,’ he added.

Grant has been sheltering at his rural property just outside of Bathurst with his wife Cheryl and their daughters Sailor, 8, and Scout, 4, during the pandemic.

‘This pandemic has taken so much away from so many people, but in a weird way, it’s also given us something back,’ he said, adding that he ‘cherished’ the extra time with his family.

 Grant and Cheryl put their time in lockdown to good use and recently announced they are soon to welcome another bundle of joy into their tightknit family.

Earlier this month, the couple announced they’re expecting their third child together on Instagram.  

‘We have some exciting news… coming 1 March 2021,’ Grant and Chezzi both wrote on their separate social channels.

‘So, we have some news. Our mum is pregnant! And mum’s really sick. And she’s been resting for days,’ daughter Sailor explained in a video.   

Before adding: ‘So that’s our news and it’s so exciting that she’s got a baby.’

Sailor then quizzed her younger sibling and asks, ‘What are you looking forward to?’ to which Scout replied: ‘I really, really hope it’s a girl!’

 ‘And we’re so excited to play with it and look after it and hold it,’ she added.

According to the Grant and Chezzi their baby is due on March 1, 2021.   

Cheryl has been open about her desire to expand their brood.   

Cheryl previous told TV Week, while proud of with two daughters, Grant would ‘love a son’. 

‘He’d love a little boy running around the house,’ she said. ‘Grant’s an amazing dad, and we’ve spoken about it, so who knows.’
