Tosh.0 starring Daniel Tosh has been canceled by Comedy Central after 12 dozen seasons.

‘I look forward to doing an animated reboot of my show on MTV in 25 years,’ Tosh, 45, said in a statement Thursday.

He later tool to Twitter writing, ‘After 12 years together, comedy central and i are consciously uncoupling. they get the cartoons, and i’m heading to any network with stronger wifi.’

The cancellation comes about eight months after officials with Comedy Central said the show had been renewed for another four seasons.

That arrangement would have spanned 80 additional broadcasts and an unscripted series for Tosh.

Tosh’s camp and ViacomCBS are collaborating on moving the show to a separate outlet, according to The Hollywood Reporter. 

ViacomCBS Entertainment & Youth Group president Chris McCarthy is focusing Comedy Central toward TV feature films, animated shows geared for adult audience and shows dealing with current events, sources told THR.

Shows that have been rebooted amid McCarthy’s tenure include Ren & Stimpy and Beavis and Butt-head, as well as Jodie, a spinoff of the 90s MTV program Daria.

The show’s ratings have been consistent, claiming the top original comedy in the male 18-34 demographic on Tuesday’s since it hit the air in 2009. It was most recently renewed in 2018 for three years, giving it more than 250 overall episodes, marking Comedy Central longest-running live action show on a weekly basis.

The final 10 episodes of Tosh.0 begin airing September 15 on Comedy Central, with its last episode set to air November 24.
