 Olivia Wilde only recently made the jump from acting to directing with the release of her 2019 breakout film, Booksmart.

But now it appears as if she is solidifying her spot in the director’s chair with the news that Ms. Wilde has just signed on to direct a female-centered Marvel film for Sony pictures. 

Though little is known at this time about the untitled project, Olivia, 36, took to social media on Thursday to perhaps give fans a hint at what is in store.

After the undoubtedly exciting news that sent the internet spinning Olivia, 36, got herself back on the saddle – literally. The blonde bombshell was spotted horseback riding in Thousand Oaks, California on Thursday. 

Clad in classic riding gear, Wilde wore a pair of black riding pants and boots with a white t-shirt to stay cool in the valley heat.  

Her short tresses were slicked back into an effortless low ponytail that she topped with a helmet, adding a pair of black gloves for further protection as well as a red face mask.

 Olivia looked fresh-faced and kept her jewelry to a minimum, only sporting an apple watch to complete her active look.

 The Hollywood a-lister appeared in a state of ease as she spent time with her trusty companion, perhaps taking a moment to herself before she gears up for her next big feature. 

While it has yet to be confirmed by Sony or Marvel, a tweet sent by Olivia in response to Deadline Hollywood’s news blast about the project, have fans speculating that the movie may in-fact be centered around Spider-Woman.

 Further adding fuel to the internet fire , Olivia posted a photo of her daughter, Daisy, 3, on Instagram dressed in a Spider-Man costume which seemed to solidify the claims. Olivia’s caption was just a heart emoji.

Gal Gadot who played Wonder Woman in the film adaptation of the DC Comics classic was quick to like the photo.

With Hollywood production down amid the Coronavirus pandemic, Olivia has been spending much of the quarantine with her longtime partner Jason Sudeikis, 44, with whom she shares Daisy, 2, and Otis, 6.

It is unclear when production on Olivia’s new film will commence but her other project Don’t Worry, Darling is currently in pre-production.
