Channel 10 future of Sarah Harris, Narelda Jacobs and Angela Bishop

Channel 10 confirms that Sarah Harris, Narelda Jacobs and Angela Bishop will STAY with Studio 10 – after Kerri-Anne Kennerley and Tim Bailey were sacked

Channel 10 sacked 25 employees last week, including high-profile personalities such as Kerri-Anne Kennerley, Natarsha Belling and Tim Bailey.

But Studio 10 has confirmed that host Sarah Harris, newsreader Narelda Jacobs and entertainment reporter Angela Bishop will remain on the morning program.

A statement to media industry newsletter Social Diary on Friday read: ‘Network 10 has confirmed that Sarah Harris, Narelda Jacobs and Angela Bishop will remain an integral part of the Studio 10 team with further announcements soon.’

‘Denise Drysdale, Craig Bennett, Jono Coleman and other regulars will continue as special contributors,’ the statement added, noting that the show will continue to air weekdays from 8am to 12pm.

The fate of panellist Joe Hildebrand is not yet known, but he is understood to be in talks with the network about his future.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel 10 for further comment.

This comes after the network announced last Tuesday that 25 of its stars had been made redundant as a cost-cutting measure.

The group included high-profile stars such as Studio 10’s Kerri-Anne Kennerley, newsreader Natarsha Belling and legendary weatherman Tim Bailey.

Kerri-Anne fought back tears on air last Wednesday as she acknowledged that the coronavirus pandemic had made it necessary to tighten the budget, and thanked her friends and colleagues for their support.

‘I just know I’m back on the “lazy Susan” of television. Yeah, it’s very, very tough for a lot of people,’ she said on Studio 10.

On Friday, Natarsha, 45, shared a dignified farewell to viewers on Instagram.

She showed no bitterness toward the network, and instead thanked them for supporting her career since her early twenties.

‘It’s been an absolute pleasure being part of the Network 10 family for more than 22 years and I want to thank the network for all the wonderful opportunities I’ve enjoyed over the past two decades,’ she wrote.
