People who do not wear masks in public face fines of $200, unless they have been granted an exemption.

Wearing a face mask can help prevent the spread of coronavirus because it limits infections spread by airborne transmission.

Each time an individual coughs or sneezes, they release germs into the air and this can infect others around them.
