Henry Cavill shares behind-the-scenes snap from The Witcher after filming resumes on season two amid COVID-19 crisis (but fans slam hair and make-up crew for not wearing masks)

Henry Cavill shared a glimpse behind-the-scenes of the second season of The Witcher with fans on Thursday.

The actor, 37, took to Instagram to post a snap while in the make-up chair after what appeared to be an arduous day of filming, as two hair stylists helped to remove his character’s signature blonde wig.

Despite social distancing measures and new restrictions amid the coronavirus pandemic both members of the crew were not wearing masks and gloves while they worked on Henry’s hair.

The Superman star appeared unfazed by the hair stylists’ lack of safety equipment, as they worked on removing the medical tape and glue on his raven tresses.

He wore a pained expression on his face which was covered in dirt, seemingly because of his busy day of filming as Geralt of Rivia.

In the caption, Henry wrote: ‘No bald cap this year. Just pounds of 2 types of medical tape and some glue…. Removal is a joy.

‘Jacqui and Ailbhe here, though, have the deft touch of angels. Jacqui more so an Angel of Vengeance, but that’s all part of her charm.’

Another questioned ‘where are the masks’, while one added ‘by the way… no masks?’
