Golf fans searching for the next Tiger Woods would be wise to check out the 11-year-old ace who won a junior tournament in Florida over the weekend with an undeniably familiar caddy.

Charlie Woods, Tiger’s son, came out on top at a Hammock Creek youth event, hitting a three-under 33 and winning by five shots thanks to three birdies on the day.  Best of all, Tiger had a front row seat while serving as his son’s looper for the day.

It certainly didn’t hurt hurt to have the five-time Masters winner as his mentor and caddy, but Charlie appears to be a quick study: the youngster was the only player to finish under par for the competition.

Woods, recognized as one of the greatest players in the history of the sport, is accustomed to lavish treatment throughout his successful career on the circuit.

But he was modest enough to cater to Charlie as he followed him around the course while carrying his clubs as he watched him steal the show.

Speaking in glowing terms about his son’s overall game last month, Tiger said he was ‘asking me all the right questions’ – even admitting: ‘I wish I had his move’.

‘He’s starting to understand how to play’, he said, as reported by GolfTV. ‘He’s asking me the right questions. I’ve kept it competitive with his par.

‘I wish I had his move,’ he added. ‘I analyze his swing all the time. I wish I could rotate like that and turn my head like that and do some of those positions, but those days are long gone, and I have to relive them through him.’

The pair have a close bond and have been pictured at sporting events together, including the US Open, while Charlie was present as Woods won an incredible fifth Masters in 2019.
