Phoebe Burgess gushes over the ‘chic space’ inside a luxury childcare centre that doesn’t exist

When influencing goes wrong: Phoebe Burgess accidentally gushes over the ‘chic space’ inside a luxury childcare centre that doesn’t exist

Phoebe Burgess has transformed her image from ex-WAG to mummy blogger since splitting from NRL star Sam.

But the mother-of-two, 31, has suffered an Instagram influencer fail after posting about the ‘chic space’ inside a luxury childcare centre that hasn’t been built yet.

Phoebe recently encouraged her followers to pre-enrol at Vaucluse Early Learning Centre, even though Woollahra Council has yet to approve the development.

When influencing goes wrong: Former WAG Phoebe Burgess, 31, (pictured) recently posted a gushing Instagram post about the ‘chic space’ inside a luxury childcare centre that hasn’t been built

When approached for comment on Sunday, spokesperson Sharon Finnigan told The Sydney Morning Herald that Phoebe simply wanted to ‘let mums know in the area that there was a new childcare centre in the pipeline.’

Finnigan also confirmed that Phoebe was not paid to spruik the childcare centre, nor has she been offered positions at the centre for her children.

Instead, she uploaded the post as a ‘favour’ for her friends who are behind the project, Finnigan explained.

Development application for the two-storey $2.84million learning centre was lodged in July.

If approved, it will offer 86 places and employ 14 staff members, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Phoebe’s faux-pas comes just weeks after she was spotted in Double Bay without a mask, despite advocating for her fans to wear face coverings amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, Phoebe had encouraged others to wear a mask to limit the spread of COVID-19 despite it not being mandatory in New South Wales.

However, Phoebe failed to practise what she preached, as just hours after her post she embarked on a mask-free outing while clad in a chic double denim ensemble.

Since the photos were published, Phoebe has since made sure to wear a mask when out and about.
