Botched’s Dr Paul Nassif reveals celebrities are hiding plastic surgeries during coronavirus

Botched’s Dr Paul Nassif reveals the clever way celebrities are hiding their plastic surgeries from fans during the coronavirus pandemic

If you’ve suddenly noticed your favourite celebrity looking a little different recently, Botched’s Dr Paul Nassif can tell you why.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia this week, the American plastic surgeon explained that many celebrities are taking advantage of COVID-19 restrictions to hide their plastic surgeries from fans.

‘I’ve noticed some patients want to take advantage of being at home by getting plastic surgery and having ample time to recover,’ Dr Nassif explained.

‘If a patient has a facial procedure, they can also sometimes hide it with their mask while they are out in public,’ he added.

Dr Nassif, whose clinic is based in Beverly Hills, also revealed he’s seen an increasing demand for non-surgical procedures such as Botox during the pandemic.

‘Since people have started using apps like Zoom more frequently, I’ve noticed more patients are seeking procedures like Botox because they are paying more attention to their faces throughout the day,’ he revealed.

Another unexpected side effect of the pandemic is how face masks can create problems for your skin.

While it is an essential part of preventing the spread of coronavirus, Dr Nassif warned that wearing face coverings can cause acne.

‘Some patients are also experiencing more breakouts around the area where they wear masks (we also call this ‘mask-ne,’) so they come to my med spa for skincare solutions,’ he said.
