Bizarre moment man feeds sardines to herons in a London park using a pair of CHOPSTICKS

  • Brian Minkoff saw a man in Hyde Park feeding sardines to herons with chopsticks
  • The birds flock towards the man and all receive and fair share of the free fish
  • One bird allows him close enough to eat the fish directly from the chopsticks

Animals do not usually use eating utensils but recently some herons made use of chopsticks.

Brian Minkoff was walking through Hyde Park in London when he saw man kneeling on the ground using chopsticks to feed herons from a tin of sardines.

The fish attracted the birds towards him and later the birds can be seen fighting over the food.

A man used chopsticks to grab hold of a sardine from a tin and feed it to hungry herons in Hyde Park

The video begins with a man kneeling very close to a heron who seems unbothered by him.

The man opens a tin of sardines, uses chopsticks to grab hold of the fish and chucks it towards the bird.

Other birds decide they want in on the action and flock towards an opportunity for an effortless meal.

At one point a brave heron lets the man walk right up to it and takes a sardine directly from the chopsticks

The man feeds as many as he can, being careful to include the heron lingering behind him.

At one point the man is able to feed a heron almost directly from the chopsticks as the heron allows him close enough to grab the fish with its beak.

He finishes off the sardine tin and walks away leaving the herons to decide who gets the last bits.

One heron is scared off by a hungry pair who enjoy the leftover sardines in peace before another bird braves fighting them off.
