Girl, 17, is arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after she ‘drove a car at group of people following a row’

  • 17-year-old girl is said to have targeted two teenagers after an argument

A teenage girl was last night being held on suspicion of attempted murder after she allegedly drove a car at a group of people following a row.

The 17-year-old is said to have targeted two teenagers after the argument, but also hit another two people at a bus stop.

A 58-year-old woman suffered a shattered pelvis in the incident and was taken to hospital by paramedics.

Last night she remained in a ‘serious condition’ in hospital and will need an operation. 

The second woman hit by the bus stop in Birmingham was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The teen is said to have driven the Renault Captur at a 19-year-old man and 16-year-old girl, who were treated in hospital for ‘cuts and bruises’.

West Midlands Police have been granted extra time to question the suspect about what happened.

They said: ‘Our investigation is ongoing and we’re appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.’
