Sophie Monk insists she’s NOT  the Masked Singer’s Dragonfly – but fans are convinced it’s her

Sophie Monk has insisted she is not the Masked Singer Australia’s Dragonyfly – despite many fans being convinced she is.   

“Every reality show, people think I’m on it. Singing live on stage would be a massive thing for me,” she told Now To Love. 

Judge Jackie ‘O’ Henderson is also convinced the singer behind the mask is her pal Sophie. 

But 40-year-old, who was a member of the girl group Bardot, says it can’t be her – because she doesn’t like to sing live. 

“Jackie O thought it was me too! She asked if it was me. I said ‘Do they have to sing live?’ and she said yes. 

‘And I was like ‘Good luck getting me to sing live! I’m not going to wear that thing on my head and sing live!'”

In a teaser trailer shared to Instagram, Dragonfly pirouetted in a bright costume with wings while wearing wedged heels and purple fitted tights.  

An altered female voice said: ‘I may be classically trained, but I’m famous for some other moves.’

As well as guessing that it’s Sophie, some fans have suggested it could be theatre performer Lucy Durack. 

Opera trained singer Kate Miller-Heidke or Emma Watkins from The Wiggles have also been suggested.   

A number of other users also suggested singer Dami Im, with one fan stating: ‘Dami Im is classically trained in piano but is famous as a pop singer.’

Several have guessed that the Masked Singer is none other than former Australian Idol contestant Ricki-Lee Coulter.
