Ronnie Wood believes that special ‘valve’ in his brain stopped him overdosing during his infamous drink and drugs binges.

The Rolling Stones guitarist, 73, claims that a circuit breaker saved him from going too far during his blow-outs in the 1970s and 80s.

Speaking to the Mirror, he said: ‘Luckily I had a valve that cut off, if it was going to be too much in my body, that said “no, don’t go over, don’t cross this line, otherwise you will not make it”.
