‘Sometimes it’s a simple dance or I might have had a couple of drinks before I did it. It’s all in good fun, every single thing is really spontaneous,’ he said.

And he has certainly had plenty of time to work on his viral video’s during the COVID-19 lockdowns.

In fact, the singer admitted that he has loved having the opportunity to spend more time at home.

‘Last year I only spent 60 days at home. I have been on the road since I was 19-years-old so to be at home in my own space it feels like a sense of being recharged.’

Last week, Jason provided his followers with some laughs in a prank video where he knocked out Will Smith’s front teeth with a golf club.

Jason stood against a floor-to-ceiling virtual reality screen, depicting a golf course, as Will, 51, helped him with his swing.

The Fresh Prince of Bel Air star took a step back, before stepping in to give one more tip, telling him: ‘Wait, hold it. Don’t swing yet.’

Derulo swung the club back at the exact moment Will stepped in, as he appeared to him in the face which resulted in breaking off his two front teeth but obviously that was some movie magic.

He looked instantly guilty, as Will showed off his new altered smile, telling him: ‘Put some ice on that… I got a thing.’

After which the actor picked up another golf club and got his revenge on the songwriter hitting him in the leg.

It was not revealed to be a gag on the video but Will’s comedic acting made it blatantly obvious.

Sweet revenge: 'Alright, we can just talk about this,' Derulo pleaded, as Smith grabbed his own club, and whacked him in the leg
