‘I’m into experiences, memorable experiences, meaningful experiences, with my friends and people who are suffering that I’m able to help.’

The Chandelier singer offered to pledge $100,000 to families experiencing hardship because of the summer bushfires and Covid-19 through the radio duo’s ‘We’ve got your back’ segment.

She said: ‘You can decide how ever you want to make it happen and choose the people who need it most… I think it would be really fun to collaborate.’

Elsewhere Sia, whose full name is Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, revealed that she was touched by the story of a man who didn’t receive any Christmas presents when he was in a child in an orphanage.

She said she wrote him a letter from Santa explaining that ‘an administrative problem at the North Pole’ was the reason why he didn’t get any presents.

‘So, I sent him once a month, I sent him a Christmas present for each year that has been alive,’ she revealed, ‘and that’s the kind of thing that makes me feel really really good,’ she explained.

Sia’s generous gesture comes after she announced last month that she is a grandmother, just weeks after revealing that she had adopted two teenage sons last year.

The Australian singer revealed in July that the youngest of the two boys she took on has welcomed ‘two babies’ of his own, meaning she has become a mother and a grandmother in the space of just one year.

Sia announced she had adopted two sons in May because they were ‘ageing out of the foster care system’ and had lived ‘extremely traumatic lives’; the boys were 18 at the time and are now both 19.
