Alisha Aitken-Radburn reveals the most awkward part of being on The Bachelor

She has found love with her Bachelor in Paradise co-star Glenn Smith, but before that Alisha Aitken-Radburn failed to win Nick Cummins’ heart on The Bachelor. 

Now, the 27-year-old has reminisced about her time on the Channel Ten dating show and revealed the most awkward part of being on the series. 

Appearing on the podcast The Reality Bite: Cocktails and Roses on Friday, the reality star explained that she felt uncomfortable interrupting people’s conversations with the Bachelor.   

‘There is no comfortable way to interrupt a chat and try and get that precious time with the Bachelor,’ she said.  

‘It’s sort of like taking a ticket at the deli at Coles. You have to go over and do the awkward, “Hey there can I steal you next?”‘ 

She added with a laugh: ‘So you don’t fully interrupt, you take your ticket then you’ll get your cold cuts later on.’ 

To make matters worse, she said that the layout of the mansion makes the uncomfortable moment even more awkward. 

‘Just outside the living room there is a walkway covered in pebbles,’ she revealed. 

‘So if the bachelor is sitting opposite that walkway, not only do you have to interrupt, you have to awkwardly crunch with your heels over 50 meters of pebbles before you ask.’ 

Meanwhile, Alisha confirmed the rumours that she and her beau Glenn ‘hooked up’ with other people after leaving Bachelor in Paradise on Friday.

Speaking to the Shameless podcast, the 27-year-old revealed that she was ‘broken’ when she discovered that Glenn had kissed fellow BIP star Helena Sauzier.

She then took revenge by sleeping with another Bachelor in Paradise star Scot Fuller the following week. 

Alisha says the pair had ‘big conversations’ and read advice from Ether Perel, a Belgian relationship psychotherapist, to heal their romance. 

They have since made amends, and are living together in Perth.
