He’s the Australian supermodel who has taken the fashion industry by storm. 

But Jordan Barrett also has a strong passion for wildlife conservation and has thrown his support behind the Lion Recovery Fund.

The 23-year-old, who has modelled for the likes of Balmain and Versace, appears in a new campaign clip for the granting initiative and told Daily Mail Australia this week about why he’s gotten involved.

The Lion Recovery Fund aims to support conservation groups in Africa and offer financial aid to help save the kings of the jungle. 

It was created by the Wildlife Conservation Network in partnership with the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation.  

‘It’s for a great cause especially in these times,’ Jordan told Daily Mail Australia this week about the LRF.

‘It’s really needed to protect the rangers on the ground in Africa and conversation networks’ employees affected by COVID-19, from losing their jobs.’

In a clip promoting the Lion Recovery Fund, Jordan is seen talking to field experts on the Skeleton Coast in Namibia, in Southern Africa.

He urged fans to donate when sharing the clip on Instagram.

‘The LRF has removed over 40 thousand snares. Snares from lion habitats, trained 639 rangers across Africa,’ Jordan said.

He added: ‘Join me in supporting the Lion Recovery Fund community and stop the extinction of lions.’

Jordan has a strong passion for wildlife conservation and has previously supported efforts for elephant conservation.

He’s one of the world’s top male supermodels and a leading Australian export.   

The chiseled blond has modelled for the likes of Versace and Balmain, and his art project Sedated will soon be releasing merchandise and sustainable clothing.

Jordan was scouted at the tender age of 14 and also has a keen interest in acting.
