Posting a photo of his ill wife shortly after bringing her in, Joe said: ‘She’s not well. Got to have an op today now. 3am rushes to A&E are not fun.’

Nicole first collapsed due to her gallbladder earlier this year towards the end of filming the ITVBe reality show.

She felt unwell while she and her co-stars filmed scenes on a girls’ holiday to Athens shortly before the UK was placed under lockdown.

The gallbladder stores bile produced by the liver. That first collapse meant she had to spent her birthday in hospital.

She said afterwards: ‘I tried to carry on filming but in April I ended up in hospital. I was told that the pain is equivalent to being shot.’

She said about her birthday in hospital: ‘One of the nurses brought me a cupcake but I couldn’t eat it. But we are going to celebrate.’

Entrepreneur Nicole since rested her gallbladder while awaiting surgery with a low fat diet and avoiding red meat. After April’s collapse she lost 10lbs which she also attributes to going on walks during lockdown.

Her husband is former West Ham goalkeeper Joe Sealey – the son of the late Manchester United goalkeeper Les Sealey.

Nicole, who started her first business when she was 20, said of her entrepreneur skills: ‘It was one of the reasons I decided to join the show. They really wanted to promote that I’ve been in business for 26 years.

She said: ‘Don’t be scared of making mistakes. It might not be what you set out to do but it doesn’t mean you’ve failed.’

She added: ‘Have a good business plan and do your research, and you don’t need a lot of money to market yourself because of social media.’
