Michael Clarke promotes a new app that helps manage his four-year-old daughter Kelsey-Lee’s asthma

Michael Clarke has been making headlines for his new romance with Pip Edwards, following his high-profile split from wife-of-seven-years, Kyly Clarke.

But on Thursday, the 39-year-old put the focus on a cause close to his heart as he opened up about how the family manage his daughter Kelsey-Lee’s asthma. 

Posting a picture with his four-year-old daughter on Instagram, the cricket star shared the launch of a new app called Wheezo.

‘It’s great we are finally able to announce the launch of Respiri’s innovative app and device @wheeso.official ‘Patient Experiential Program’ to help assist in asthma management,’ he captioned the picture. 

‘I know first hand the importance of managing my little girl’s asthma and this new program is a great opportunity for all Australians who have a little one suffering.’  

In the picture, the father-daughter duo are snuggled up in the garden and Michael is planting a kiss on Kelsey’s cheek.

Michael looked trendy in an all-black ensemble that he paired with bright red sneakers. 

Meanwhile, his daughter looked adorable in a pink fluffy jumper and patterned skirt with white joggers and she had her hair tied up.  

Kelsey-Lee, who Michael shares with his ex Kyly, was first diagnosed with the condition in 2018 after she was rushed to the hospital when she suddenly had trouble breathing. 

The following year Michael and Kyle opened up about the frightening moment on A Current Affair.   

‘All I could see, hear and feel was that she was having trouble breathing. I think the scariest part for me was the unknown. I didn’t know exactly what was wrong,’ he said.

Kelsey-Lee was then diagnosed with asthma and Michael and Kyly now manage the condition using a Ventolin inhaler, and monitor the symptoms with a wheeze detector by ‘Respiri’.
