The Bachelor’s Paige Royal is revealed to have a ‘secret boyfriend’

She was one of the first contestants to be sent home during Wednesday night’s season premiere episode of The Bachelor.

But it appears that Paige Royal was in a relationship with someone else when she was filming the Channel 10 dating show earlier this year.

In resurfaced footage from a YouTube video posted in April, the 31-year-old is seen holding hands with her ‘future husband’ and gushing over her partner.

The Bachelor had begun filming the previous month, but it’s understood Paige only spent a few days on set before being sent home.

Paige was on hand to support her long-time partner, Matthew Sannen, who was speaking about his diagnosis with mitochondrial dysfunction.

The Bachelor star was introduced as ‘his lovely future wife’ and someone who had made a ‘great change’ to her partner’s life.

‘I started working for him eight months ago,’ she told host Michael Kuzilny.

‘He just makes me happy,’ she said when asked about her relationship.

Paige went on to reveal that they had recently taken a road trip from Melbourne to Byron Bay amid the coronavirus pandemic.

In a now-deleted Instagram post from June, Matthew gushed about having recently spent time with his ‘beautiful girl’.

‘Such an amazing isolation birthday with my beautiful girl,’ he wrote. 

‘Thanks for making a 10 minute video with all my friends and our memories, all the effort you put into the treasure hunt and the best gifts!

‘Look forward to log cabin getaway surrounded by mini donkey’s and cows. Haha. Much love.’
