The Puppet… unmasked! The Masked Singer fans are convinced they already know who is behind the show’s most terrifying costume

The Puppet is male and performed Elvis Presley’s 1972 track Burning Love.

The cryptic clues provided during the episode include that he ‘loved to entertain’ but nobody was pulling his strings.

They also referenced the Magna Carta, which is a royal charter of rights agreed to by King John of England in 1215.

‘Ties have played an important part in my life, and not just because I like to look good,’ the Puppet said, adding that ‘the events of 1964’ impacted his career.

Two strong contenders based on the clues are Anh Do and Shaun Micallef, both of whom are entertainers with legal backgrounds.

While the judges guessed it might be someone with a background in law or politics, fans weren’t in agreement with judges Dave Hughes and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, who both said the Puppet could be ex-Australian Idol judge and barrister Mark Holden.

‘Hmmm… a lot saying Mark Holden but would a 66-year-old with noticeable osteoporosis risk a fall in that get-up?’ one viewer tweeted.

Dannii Minogue guessed it was actor Russell Crowe, while new judge Urzila Carlson joked that it could be politician Barnaby Joyce.
