Dave Hughes reveals who wanted to replace Lindsay Lohan on The Masked Singer – after the actress was forced to quit due to coronavirus travel restrictions

Last month, Lindsay Lohan was forced to step down from The Masked Singer judging panel due to coronavirus travel restrictions.

And on Monday, her co-star Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes revealed his Hit radio co-host Ed Kavalee, 41, wanted Lindsay’s job as a judge on the singing show.

‘He did [want the job] and I quickly swatted it down. I said “you’ve got enough screen time mate, just back off”,’ Dave told News.com.au.

On Tuesday, the network released its latest trailer for the zany show, in which judge Dave Hughes jokes about the benefits of the pandemic.

‘Everyone is stuck here in this country so it’s more likely to be big stars this year!’ the 49-year-old funnyman says.
