TALK OF THE TOWN:  Jeremy Paxman claims life would be easier if all men were neutered like his dog

He’s known for his ferociousness but Jeremy Paxman  might be going too far with his latest pronouncement. 

He’s revealed that he watched his beloved pet pooch, Derek get neutered – and recommends all men undergo the same procedure. 

The former Newsnight pitbull, 70, says: ‘Derek is neutered. I watched. All males would be better for being neutered.  It would save a lot of trouble. Think of the mistakes you have made in life.’ 

I know Paxman left many interviewees with their tail between their legs, but this is taking ruthlessness too far! 

No one could ever accuse Boy George of being too modest: the 59-year-old singer tells me he knows just the person to play him in a forthcoming film about his life – One Direction superstar Harry Styles, 26. ‘Obviously you want the film to be believable,’ the Culture Club singer says. ‘You want the person to be believable.’

Sorry, George, but I can’t believe a star with more hits, fans and fame than you ever had will want that role.

Stacey joins hire society

To her credit, the money raised will go to charity, so you can feel virtuous if you want to swan around in Stacey’s togs – which include a £2,590 Gucci dress.

Fortunately, the eye-boggling tie-dyed sweatshirt that Stacey twinned with her £1,000 bag hasn’t made it on to the list of chic rentables. Can’t imagine why…
