So far details of the plot for the latest installment are being kept under wraps but there’s word it take place in the present-day and maintain the anti-establishment tone of the original series, according to Deadline.

Hasselhoff played crime fighter, and former cop, Michael Knight in TV show that aired on NBC from 1982 to 1986, alongside the talking Pontiac Firebird Trans Am KITT – which stood for Knight Industries Three Thousand.

Storylines typically depicted average citizens, or ethical heads of corporations, being bullied into subservience to an overbearing or ruthless criminal organization.
