Jennifer Garner demonstrates colonial etiquette lesson for her daughter’s fifth grade class

Jennifer Garner proved she is the ultimate room mom, as she presented her 11-year-old daughter’s classroom with an unforgettable history lesson over Zoom.

While the 48-year-old Golden Globe winner’s talent is widely coveted in Hollywood, she gave the performance of a lifetime for her daughter’s fifth-grade class for free.  

In a throwback video from May, she can be seen explaining the proper way to grip and open a hand fan, while wearing a white bonnet.   

‘This can mean ‘How do you do.’ This can mean ‘Isn’t it warm out.’ This can mean ‘I don’t want them to see what we’re talking about, but can you believe the bonnet on Mistress Patience?” she says in the hilarious footage, uploaded on Thursday. 

Garner explained she landed the gig after her youngest daughter’s teacher asked if she would be interested in teaching ‘the girls Genteel Refinement to close out their unit on Colonial history.’ 

While the coronavirus pandemic resulted in her appearance becoming a virtual one, the Alias star still found a way to make her presentation. 

According to the actress’ caption, her 11-year-old daughter, Seraphina, was less enthusiastic about her mom’s over-the-top demonstration.

To describe her preteen’s reaction, she used a series of emojis, including an eye roll and one of a girl with arms crossed forming an ‘X’ to indicate ‘no.’ 

Garner’s video has received more than 1.3 million views and thousands of positive comments, including one from Courteney Cox, who dropped a few applauding emojis.  

‘Let’s take care of our planet. It’s the only place where Jennifer Garner lives,’ one of her followers also wrote, which was liked by a nearly 4,000 more fans. 

She and her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, also share daughter Violet, 14, and son Samuel, eight. 

The pair finalized their divorce in 2018, nearly three years after they separated and almost a decade into their marriage 

She and her longtime boyfriend, John Miller, recently ended their relationship after almost two years of dating.  

Jennifer’s ex is now in a new relationship with Knives Out star Ana de Armas.

Ben has introduced Ana to his children and the group have been regularly spotted out together.
