Ben Fordham attempts to solve a dispute between two feuding neighbours over lawn mowing on Sydney’s lower north shore

Ben Fordham is one of the biggest names in radio.

And on Thursday, the 43-year-old was awkwardly pulled into a dispute over lawn mowing by two of his neighbours on Sydney’s lower north shore.

In a segment on his 2GB radio show, Ben showed his cooler head as he joked about ‘not cutting another man’s grass’ while discussing the neighbourhood furore.

Don’t cut my grass! Ben Fordham attempted to mediate a dispute between two neighbours over lawn mowing on his 2GB radio show on Thursday

It all started after a photo was shared to Facebook page Willoughby Living, which showed the image of one lawn dutifully mowed up to a boundary – while another strip of grass remained unkempt.

‘There’s a blow up on a community Facebook page in Willoughby in regards to someone doing their edges on the footpath outside their home,’ Ben said.

The radio star then explained the mechanics of the problem.

Angry: 'They stopped when they reached the boundary line, even though there was just one more metre outside the next person's property,' Ben said, explaining the incident

‘They stopped when they reached the boundary line, even though there was just one more metre outside the next person’s property,’ he added.

Ben then asked what the ‘rule’ was for the street but was inundated with calls with a number of listeners calling the neighbour petty.

Ben opted to bring more of a cool head to the situation by making a joke: ‘I thought cutting another bloke’s grass was off limits!’

He'll sort it! The segment led to a number of calls in regards to neighbours fighting over the nature strip and other council owned parts of the street. Here with wife, Jodie Speers

Willoughby Council says on their website: ‘All residents are responsible for caring for the nature strip that fronts or adjoins onto the property in which they reside.’

Ben is certainly no stranger to feuds with him reigniting his rivalry with KIIS FM competitor and pal, Kyle Sandilands, last week.

On Wednesday, Ben escalated the feud between the radio stars by calling ‘Kyle’ the male equivalent of a ‘Karen’ during his program.

‘I think the male equivalent of a “Karen”, is it a “Kyle?”,’ Ben said on his program.

‘Someone who is constantly complaining someone who looks down on life a giant sook, I think the male equivalent of a Karen would be a Kyle.’

Speaking on his own radio program The Kyle And Jackie O Show, Kyle said he was furious, claiming that Ben’s segment was a dig at him.

Kyle insisted he and Ben had instantly become 'mortal enemies' after he took over Alan's role

Ben Fordham replaced radio veteran Alan Jones on the 2GB breakfast program

Competitors: The comments from both radio presenters were all in jest, but it comes after Kyle insisted they had instantly become ‘mortal enemies’ before Ben (L) took over Alan’s (R) radio gig in June on a competing station

‘He has thrown down the gauntlet so now I have a new enemy,’ he said.

‘Thank the lord, I have been waiting for a new enemy after I have crushed all these other people that dared go against me.’

Kyle then decided to call Ben and confront him, but the radio host stood by his statement, claiming Kyle’s fellow host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson had already called him a male “Karen”.

All in good humour: During a previous interview with Daily Mail Australia, Ben gently hit back at the shock jock after Kyle branded him a 'phony' who is 'always yelling'
