Jackie ‘O’ Henderson speaks about her ‘gruelling schedule’ filming The Masked Singer while hosting her KIIS FM breakfast radio show – and says the hardest thing has been leaving her daughter at home

She’s been filming Channel Ten’s The Masked Singer while hosting her KIIS FM radio show with Kyle Sandilands.

And on Thursday, Jackie ‘O’ Henderson said her current work schedule is ‘insane’ and it’s been difficult leaving her daughter Kitty in Sydney and relocating to Melbourne to film the singing show.

In an interview with WHO, the 45-year-old said: ‘My daily schedule is pretty gruelling right now but by far the hardest thing for me was leaving Kitty at home.’

She added: ‘It was the one thing that made me unsure about going ahead with doing the show again because once coronavirus worsened in Melbourne, I knew she wouldn’t be able to come down for weekends.’

Jackie said last year Kitty enjoyed visiting the set during filming and she also became friends with co-judge ‘Dannii Minogue’s son Ethan and they’d hang out’.

The KIIS FM host also explained she works on her radio show every morning before filming Channel Ten’s hit series for ‘the next 10 hours’.

‘I’m up super-early to do the radio show and then it’s straight into hair and makeup before filming The Masked Singer for the next 10 hours,’ she said.

She continued: ‘But I love it. This is a job that doesn’t feel like work at all, it’s so much fun.’

The Masked Singer Australia will return with its second season on August 10.

Ahead of the show’s premiere, Channel 10 have shared vague clues on their official social media pages as to who some of the mystery celebrities could be.

Last week, The Masked Singer revealed the first clue about who is inside the Wizard costume.

The footage started with the Wizard spinning around in a robe with gold trimmings and a hat featuring plants and mushrooms on top of it.

An altered male voice gave the first clue: ‘My childhood neighbours hated my singing voice, but who’s having the last laugh now?’

Fans are convinced that the celebrity under the hat is former Neighbours star, Jason Donovan.
