Kate Mara looks summery in a light floral dress as she leaves a waxing appointment in Beverly Hills

Kate Mara was seen taking care of some beautification on Monday, as she left a waxing appointment in Beverly Hills, California.

The Fantastic Four star, 37, was wearing a pretty floral-themed summer dress that showed off her slender legs.

Kate’s dress featured small rose-inspired pattern, and slightly frilled sleeves that ended at her elbows. 

The dress ended at Mara’s mid-thighs, and also featured a plunging V-neck that led to clasp buttons lending a peekaboo effect to the garment.

Her auburn hair was down and long against her shoulders.  

She accessorized with simple jewelry, and classic dark shades.

The Emmy nominee (for her role of Zoe Barnes on House Of Cards) also carried an oversized straw bag. 

She wore cream lo-top Converse sneakers.

Finally, Kate completed her look with a standard hospital-grade blue face mask, as a measure of protection against the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Despite business closures and recommendations to limit contact with others, celebrities like Mara, Alessandra Ambrosio and others have nonetheless sought out businesses that are taking private appointments for things such as waxing, manicures and gym workouts during this unsure time. 

Kate, the older sister of Rooney Mara, is married to Billy Elliott star Jamie Bell, with whom she shares a 14-month-old daughter.

The pair met on the set of their 2015 superhero misfire Fantastic Four.

Recently, Josh Trank, the director of that film, stated his initial desires to cast a black actress in Mara’s role of Sue Storm, a.k.a. the Invisible Woman.

While video chatting with the folks of Geeks of Color/First Cut in June, Trank, 36, described how his casting hopes were met with ‘pushback’ on the part of the studio.

‘When it came to it, I found a lot of pretty heavy pushback on casting a black woman in that role,’ Josh shared.

‘When I look back on that, I should have just walked when that realization sort of hit me, and I feel embarrassed about that, that I didn’t just out of principle,’ he continued.

And while the film scored an abysmal nine percent on Rotten Tomatoes and only made $56 million countrywide despite a $120 million budget, Fantastic Four did succeed in pairing up Kate with her future husband.
