Chrissy Teigen looks stunning as usual as she reads The Giving Tree to her kids Luna and Miles

She’s an active and devoted mother who documents the majority of her family activities on her Instagram account.

And Chrissy Teigen shared a charming picture of herself in mommy mode on Monday, with the angelic children she shares with husband John Legend – daughter Luna, four, and son Miles, two.

In the snap, the 34-year-old Lip Sync Battle star was channeling pinup girl vibes in a black leotard as she reclined, reading Shel Silverstein’s classic children’s book The Giving Tree to her tots. 

‘Saddest children’s book known to man,’ Chrissy captioned the image.

‘Luna calls it mommy’s crying story,’ she concluded.

Teigen’s legs are daintily crossed as she lies back on the blue patterned blanket, while her kids lie amongst various age-appropriate effects like a Ken doll, toy guitar, toy truck and stuffed animal. 

The Giving Tree, published in 1964, was considered by Elizabeth Bird of the School Library Journal to be ‘one of the most divisive books in children’s literature.’

Initially rejected by publishers for being too sad for children, the story follows a boy and an apple tree throughout the boy’s life, as the tree gives him her fruit, shade, branches and even part of her trunk.

The boy takes these things continually, never once thinking to give back to the tree, thereby becoming a morale tale that ruminates on the power of generosity and reciprocity. 

Chrissy, meanwhile, recently got her family together for an absolutely stunning family portrait.

The model posted the sweet family photo last week, from a photoshoot for her mother Vilailuck Teigen’s upcoming cookbook.  

Chrissy was a vision in a low-cut white dress with orange floral patterns and long, flowing sleeves.

John looked stylish in a scarlet patterned shirt with the top few buttons undone, which he paired with brilliant white jeans.

Miles rocked a casual gray short-sleeve shirt with teal shorts, and Luna looked summery in a black and blue floral print dress.

The couple all posed together on one side of their sofa, though they forgot to hide the water bottle and legos behind them.

Chrissy simply captioned the picture: ‘Forever!’
