She switched out her fiery red locks in favor of platinum blonde tresses last month.

The newly blonde beauty was focusing on self-care after completing work on her first post–Modern Family project.

On Friday, she shared screenshots of a Deadline article from two days earlier announcing that she’d been cast in the indie comedy–thriller Don’t Log Off, which is set in the early days of the coronavirus lockdowns.

The movie follows six friends who have a virtual birthday party, only for the birthday girl to disappear.

The film was already shooting at the time of the announcement, and Ariel announced that it had wrapped in her post.

‘AND WE ARE WRAPPED!!!!!!!’ she gushed in the caption. ‘Congratulations and thank you to our whole team— especially the very talented @branbaer & @thethirdlilbaer, our wonderful writers/directors. This movie really is an ensemble and I’m honored to be sharing the screen with my friends, and producing this with a few of them as well!!!!!’

The former child actors both starred on the wildly popular ABC sitcom for more than a decade and in an astounding 250 episodes before its finale in April.

Although most of Ariel’s time in recent years was devoted to the long-running comedy, she found time for less-demanding animation voice work, including on the Disney Junior series Sofia The First, on which she voiced the title character.

So far, her next career move hasn’t been announced, but she’s likely to be in high demand once the pandemic wanes and Hollywood returns to full activity.
