Bachelor In Paradise’s Niranga Amarasinghe claims fans didn’t see the worst of Cassandra Mamone’s rejection- as he defends her love rival Brittney Weldon

Hearts broke for Bachelor In Paradise’s Niranga Amarasinghe when he was brutally rejected by Cassandra Mamone on Wednesday night’s episode of the show. 

And Niranga, 28, has claimed fans didn’t get to see the worst of Cassandra’s behaviour. 

On Thursday, Niranga slammed Cassandra for previously claiming her villainous on-screen persona was the result of editing tricks.

‘When one particular [person] comes out saying they got a bad edit. It infuriated me,’ the aircraft engineer wrote on Instagram Stories. 

‘There were so many more nasty comments to me and other people,’ he raged. 

He went on to claim that Cassandra hadn’t apologised for what she’d said, and that he simply can’t tolerate her behaviour.

Niranga had previously refuted Cassandra’s suggestion that she was unfairly edited to look like a villain in recent episodes.  

On Wednesday, fan account BachieFunny reposted a comment by Niranga about Cassandra’s portrayal on the show. 

Responding to an Instagram fan, who claimed that Niranga’s rejection was actually Cassandra’s loss, Niranga wrote: ‘Let’s say she looked good in those edits’.

Meanwhile, in his post on Thursday, Niranga also took the time to defend his friend Brittney Weldon – who is currently competing with Cassandra for Jackson Garlick’s affections on the show.  

Posing next to Brittney for a smiley selfie, Niranga wrote said of the bubbly 25-year-old: ‘Please be nice to this one. She might be a wild spirit but she has a heart of gold who I have the utmost respect towards.’ 

Niranga said he feels no animosity towards Brittney – even though she had a meltdown immediately after he invited her for a solo date on the show this week.

‘She immediately apologised off camera when this was filmed. Please be kind,’ he said of the incident.
