Melissa George looks summer chic in a patterned dress and rests a face mask on her chin as she goes sightseeing with friends in Italy
She’s in Italy for a film festival, but Melissa George still found time to go sightseeing around the Veneto region on Wednesday.
The Australian actress, 43, looked cheerful as she went for a stroll around Burano, an island in the Venetian Lagoon, with two male friends.
She arrived on the island via taxi boat and kept a surgical face mask handy to help limit the spread of coronavirus, which has devastated the country in recent months.

She completed her look with brown sandals, a bucket hat and a designer handbag.
The Golden Globe nominee, who is known for her roles in Grey’s Anatomy and Alias, also indulged in some retail therapy while in Burano.
Melissa visited several stores and was later seen carrying a blue shopping bag.

Melissa, who is usually based in Paris, is in the country for the Filming Italy Sardegna Festival.
The sighting comes just 24 hours after she was spotted tenderly touching her tummy as she strolled around Venice on Tuesday.
Melissa shares two children, sons Raphaël, six, and Solal, four, with her ex-partner Jean-David Blanc, a French entrepreneur.

She split from Jean-David in 2016 after five years together following an alleged domestic violence incident at their home in Paris.
They were both charged over the incident, and the businessman was ordered to pay Melissa €1,000 in damages, and she to pay him €1.
Due to a custody arrangement, their children can’t leave France with their mother without their father’s consent, which means she is now based in Paris.
Notoriously-private Melissa hasn’t revealed if she is in a relationship.
Last year, she was romantically linked to Australian model Jarrod Scott, 30, after they were pictured together in Paris.
Woman’s Day published photos of Jarrod placing a hand on Melissa’s back as the pair took her two children out for a stroll.
At the time, a source said: ‘He’s already happily playing dad to her kids, so it’s definitely long term.
‘She wouldn’t have introduced the boys to him otherwise.’
Jarrod later denied rumours they were dating, saying: ‘I haven’t had a girlfriend in a long time. We do have mutual friends though.’
When asked about the photo of them looking cosy in Paris, he added: ‘I don’t know what happened with that photo that floated around. I am very much single.’
Jarrod’s representative confirmed to Daily Mail Australia on Wednesday that he is not dating Melissa and that he hasn’t been in Europe for months.
Melissa was previously married to Chilean furniture designer and film director Claudio Dabed from 2000 to 2011.
