Scott Disick reflects on his late parents as he goes through childhood pictures with his son Reign

Scott Disick’s mother, Bonnie, passed away in 2013 after a long illness, while his father, Jeff, died of unknown causes in 2014.

While the 37-year-old reality star has previously spoke of struggling to cope with the loss of both parents within three months of each other, a recent visit with his father’s best friend, Dave Hacker, brought him a lot of fond memories for him.

In a bonus clip from Keeping Up With the Kardashians, the father-of-three could be seen flipping through old photo albums with his five-year-old son, Reign, and Kim Kardashian.

Memories: Scott Disick reflected on his late parents’ legacy, as he flipped through old photo albums with his five-year-old son, Reign, and Kim Kardashian

‘It’s really cool, I literally had no idea I had this,’ Disick tells Kim, as she walks over to join him and her nephew, who the Talentless founder shares with ex Kourtney Kardashian.

Upon reviewing the photos, Kim reflects on his late parents, telling Reign, ‘Look this was your grandpa. He was so nice.’

‘And your grandma Bonnie, she was so silly,’ she gushed. ‘She would have loved you — loved you the best. You know why? Because you’re so silly!’

During his confessional, Disick admitted he wasn’t always ‘ready to talk about’ his family, but believes opening the dialogue will help them ‘feel that connection.’

‘I think the more I talk about my parents the more my kids will feel connected to them and remember them,’ Disick reflected. ‘That’s the only way that they’re gonna ever feel that connection.’

Later, he met up with Dave, whom Scott called ‘the quintessential fake-uncle’ with his kids: Reign, Penelope, eight, and Mason, 10.

Dave told the group that Scott was ‘good at everything’ as a kid, and ‘fearless’ like his son Reign.

He and Scott hadn’t seen each other in ‘four or five years,’ and Dave said it was because his presence was ‘another reminder’ for Scott that his parents were gone.

‘It was almost like losing someone in a car accident,’ Dave said of the Disicks’ deaths, which had happened within three months of each other. ‘We had no closure. It was hard.’

He continued: ‘As much as I was dreading looking through some of these old photos, because I thought it was gonna bring up sad memories… the truth is, it’s brought up so many amazing memories, and things that I forgot.
