She’s been married to showbiz legend Bert Newton for nearly half a century.
And Patti Newton still loves to make birthdays special for her beloved husband.
The 75-year-old singer gave Bert a special cake with his portrait printed on the icing for his 82nd birthday.

‘It’s a special age and we hope to get to 92 as well,’ Patti told the Herald Sun on Friday.
Patti revealed they had a ‘lovely day’ surrounded by family.
She said: ‘We made the most of the situation and it was a good day. The kids loved it [the cake], seeing Poppy as a young man with hair.

It comes as the iconic Australian television couple were spotted taking care of their grandchildren in Melbourne earlier this week, while their daughter Lauren remains in hospital due to pregnancy complications.
The couple’s daughter Lauren, 40, revealed her heartbreak after spending five weeks separated from her young children.
She was admitted to the hospital nearly seven weeks ago due to complications with her sixth pregnancy.

In a heartfelt post shared to Instagram, Lauren said: ‘Missing my gorgeous babies. It’s been five weeks so far of not seeing them while I’m in hospital due to pregnancy complications.’
Lauren went on to share her relief at knowing her five children were in such good hands, as they are cared for by their father, Matt, and their famous grandparents.
‘I miss them so much but Matt and Mum and Dad have done an incredible job,’ she said.
