Doja Cat reveals she was diagnosed with COVID-19… weeks after mocking people concerned about it

Doja Cat has revealed that she was diagnosed with and has since recovered from COVID-19 just weeks after she mocked people concerned about the global pandemic.

The 24-year-old rapper – real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini – confirmed she contracted the virus during an interview with Yinka and Shayna Marie on Capital XTRA on Friday.

She said: ‘I got COVID. Honestly, I don’t know how this happens but I guess I ordered something off of Postmates and… I don’t know how I got it but I got it.’

The Say So hitmaker has since recovered from the illness which she previously said she wasn’t ‘scared’ of.

She explained: ‘I’m okay now. It was a four day symptom freak out but I’m fine now.’

Back in March she stirred up controversy during an Instagram Live with her fans as she poked fun of people who were concerned about the pandemic in an expletive-filled rant.

She defiantly said: ‘B****, I’m not scared of a coronavirus or the motherf***ing beer version of that s***. I’m gonna get corona and then I’m gonna get a Corona, cause I don’t give a f*** about corona, b****. It’s a flu!

‘I’m not scared. Y’all are p****, period. You just take some Mucinex and drink water and tea and sleep — that’s all you gotta do. Y’all are so scared of some damn corona. Y’all are so scared of corona that I need a Corona.’

Doja has embroiled herself in quite a bit of controversy during the quarantine as last month she defended herself after participating in alleged alt-right Tinychat rooms the previous month.

She once again went on an Instagram Live and called the scandal ‘f***ing ridiculous’ and insisted her ‘friends aren’t racist in chat rooms.’

‘My friends on Tinychat aren’t white supremacists. They love me. I love them. They’re loving and that’s it!’ Doja exclaimed.

And you won’t find anything on them because you’re f***ing stupid! Your actions are stupid. You may not be stupid. You may be smart but your actions are not telling…it is what it is.

‘You guys are f***ing disappointing. This isn’t how you combat problems and if you think it is, I’m sorry – not sorry. But I’m sorry that you suck right now.’

Just days prior to that the foul-mouthed vape addict had a very different tone – taunting those who called her out over the use of 4chan racial slur ‘Dindu Nuffin’ in a resurfaced 2015 track.

‘B****, all the people saying “We ain’t forget.” B****, good. Don’t forget because that’s my plan, is for you not to forget motherf***er. I’m here to stay,’ Doja declared via Instagram Live.
