Italian content creator and extreme sports fanatic Giulia has been skydiving for three years.

Giulia said she wanted to try something different from her usual jumps and asked Alessio if he could explain to her how to perform a Rodeo correctly.

She said: ‘It consists in staying on the shoulders of a wingsuit trying not to fly away and to give you a slower free fall thanks to the wingsuit.

‘You have to make sure that while positioning the wingsuit on the shoulders, my chest does not damage its parachute by hooking the bag.

‘When the wingsuit launches out of the plane you have to become one with him, and you have to contrast his weight on the other side to create balance and not risk tipping over and losing your grip.

‘Once the right balance has been found, you can sit down and enjoy the flight, always checking that you are not hooked to the wingsuit equipment so as not to risk damaging your parachute.’

She added: ‘I never think of the fear that something will go wrong or I’d ruin the magic moment.

‘Everything I do is always planned in detail to allow me to have confidence in the situation and not risk my life.

‘Accidents also happen when doing normal things, so you don’t have to be afraid of doing things outside the comfort zone. It makes us alive and more aware of ourselves.’

A wingsuit works by adding surface area to the human body with fabric between the legs and underneath the arms, for example, to allow a significant increase in lift.
