The Block 2020 trailer sees Shelley Craft channel Sandy from Grease as Scott Cam dresses up as Danny Zuko and Shaynna Blaze dazzles as a flapper

The Block 2020 will return to screens in the coming months, and the sixteenth season is set to take viewers on a journey ‘back through time’.

In a new trailer for the Channel Nine renovation show, host Scott Cam and the crew don iconic outfits from the 20th century while touring the five houses that will be transformed by the teams.

But it was co-host Shelley Craft who stole the show, as she channeled Sandy Olsson from Grease in a skintight black jumpsuit.

Shelley walks down a set of stairs in a pair of red heels before the camera pans up to reveal her dressed up as the famous movie character.

‘Tell me about it, stud,’ Shelley says to Scott, who is appropriately dressed as protagonist Danny Zuko from the 1978 film.

Scott clarifies that she is talking about the stud in the framework, not him.

They aren’t the only ones dressed up in the trailer, as judges Shaynna Blaze, Neale Whitaker and Darren Palmer also appear in historical garb.

The promo reveals that this year’s teams will be bringing five homes from five different decades back to life.

‘Five new couples face the biggest roller coaster of all time,’ the voice over explains, hinting at plenty of tears and drama this season.

The trailer also alludes to the COVID-19 pandemic that caused production to temporarily shut down earlier this year.

‘For the first time in the history of the show, I’m shutting it down now,’ says Scott. ‘Pack your bags, gang. You’re going home.’
