Is this the REAL reason Stellar Perry lost The Voice? Singer is forced to sing in the rain as judge Guy Sebastian’s own brother wins the competition

Guy Sebastian’s brother Chris was just named The Voice Australia during Sunday night’s grand finale.

But viewers have been left questioning whether losing contestant Stellar Perry, 36, was disadvantaged in the competition because she performed her finale song in the rain.

Drenched from head-to-toe, Stellar performed a rendition of Demi Lovato hit ‘Anyone’, but missed several notes due to water falling in her mouth.

Is this the REAL reason she lost? Viewers are speculating that Stellar Perry, 36, (pictured) was disadvantaged in The Voice Australia finale because she performed her finale song in the rain

Following the challenging performance, coach Kelly Rowland initially praised Stellar for her stage presence, declaring: ‘Demi would have felt it from the tips of her toes…I felt every moment.’

However, The Destiny’s Child singer couldn’t ignore the missed notes.

‘It’s hard to sing in the rain, ain’t it,’ hitmaker Kelly said. To which Stellar playfully said: ‘Hmmm, I noticed that.’

Kelly continued: ‘All the water just falling in your mouth while trying to get a note out. That alone is a winning performance.’

Coach Guy Sebastian, whose own brother won the competition, went on to tell her not to worry about the missed notes after her powerful performance.

‘[Over the past few weeks] We’ve seen you as artists not have your best vocal moments. But it is still your best moment,’ he said.

He continued: ‘Don’t worry about those notes. Who cares? They are notes. Just be happy and know that was your best performance.’

Stellar herself said she was pleased to belt out a meaningful performance, saying she meant every note.

‘It’s always hard when you don’t hit those notes that you work so hard for,’ she said.

‘I’m always going to want to mean it more. It took a lot for me to come up and do that whole thing,’ she added.

However, Guy’s encouraging words did little to quell the rage of fans on Twitter, many of whom claimed Stellar was robbed of the winning title.

‘Singing in the rain lost it for the girl,’ one viewer Tweeted of Stellar’s performance.

‘So Stellar Perry got robbed by Guy Sebastian’s brother. How is that not rigged?’ another fan Tweeted.
