‘Briya touched the hearts of every person she met and she lived a lifetime within her three years.’

Heartbroken family members were seen hugging each other and weeping as they gathered by the scene of the tragedy on Sunday.

Briya’s father said: ‘She only died yesterday. We can’t believe it. We are heartbroken but police are doing everything they can to help.

‘It is the most horrendous time for us.’

The girl’s uncle added: ‘It happened here, outside the family’s house. It is too raw. It is devastating for the whole family.’

The family were described by a local shopkeeper as ‘very nice’, with the girl’s death coming as a ‘shock to the community’.

The shop owner revealed that her father had come into his shop just ten minutes before the tragic incident.

Warwickshire Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward as part of the ongoing investigation into how the tragedy happened.

They are also keen to speak to the owner of a Mazda, believed to be silver or blue, who was driving behind the black Skoda before it collided with the girl. The Mazda driver quickly sped away after seeing the incident.
