But on Monday, Britney Spears shared with her Instagram followers that she’s had a revelation.
‘Who would have thunk it ?!?! After all this time in my life I’m just now learning that no makeup is the way to go,’ the pop star, 38, wrote alongside a ‘natural’ selfie.

The Toxic hitmaker explained: ‘I mean …. a little makeup is fun but after spending so much time in hair and makeup chairs to look flawless …. I think a natural look is the way to go …. it makes you look waaaay younger and so much better !!!!’
She then added: ‘Pssss YES …. I know I’m wearing mascara in this !!!!’
Truth be told, Britney also looked as if she was wearing a little lipstick too.
She followed up her post by sharing another three selfies as she stood in the shade of a tree on a sunny California day.

Earlier this month, Britney reassured her fans that all is well in her world, as the issue of her conservatorship returned to the news.
Since a very public breakdown in 2008, she’s been under the legal guardianship of her father Jamie Spears and fans recently revived the #FreeBritney campaign claiming she was trying to plead for her freedom via her Instagram.
However, the singer has insisted that she is happy, and shared: ‘I get how some people might not like my posts or even understand them, but this is Me being happy ….. this is Me being authentic and as real as it gets !!!!!’
She said: ‘I want to inspire people to do the same and just be themselves without pleasing others ….. that’s the key to happiness.’
She also quoted a Biblical reference, writing: ‘Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.’
The singer recently posted: ‘I get how some people might not like my posts or even understand them, but this is Me being happy ….. this is Me being authentic and as real as it gets !!!!!’
