And in the time of COVID-19, the Auckland-based singer has achieved it all without ever leaving her home.

‘I haven’t had to go anywhere. You realise you don’t have to fly to the States one day and London the next, you can do it from your bedroom on your computer,’ she told news.com.au on Saturday.

She added that her high-profile interviews and television appearances were all done from her bedroom.

‘I’d Zoom every day and I had my pyjama pants on, I was quite happy,’ Benee admitted.

The New Zealander is huge on TikTok, with viral dance challenges set to her songs Glitter and Supalonely popping up.

But the singer told Numéro magazine that she finds them too difficult to do herself.

‘I have tried the Glitter one, people told me about it, but the Supalonely one is really really difficult, I can’t do that,’ she said.

‘A few people asked me to do the Glitter thing, and I did it, but people asked me to do the Supalonely one, and you have to be a really good dancer, it’s too hard!’

She also revealed to the magazine that she attended university for just two weeks before dropping out to pursue a music career.

‘When I got there, I had just released a song and it felt like a distraction because at that stage I already knew what I wanted to do, which was music.

‘So I was like “I’m dropping out”, two weeks out, I had enough!’ Benee told the magazine.
