Gogglebox star Evie Woerdenweber announces her engagement to partner Alex

Gogglebox star Evie Woerdenweber has announced her engagement to partner Alex following a three year romance.   

The self-proclaimed ‘Gogglebox Goth’ and her parents, Viv and Ralf Woerdenweber, became instant fan favourites during their time on the Channel 4 show.

In an elated Instagram post on Friday, she wrote: ‘3 wonderful years together. He proposed and I said yes! Bring on the wedding planning.’ 

Evie posted a beaming snap wearing the delicate engagement ring and accompanied by her fiancé Alex. 

She perfected the glamorous goth look as she displayed her jet black and scarlet nail polish while wearing a fitted military jacket.

Evie finished her look with a statement smokey eye and ruby red lipstick, she styled her blonde locks into a curly blow-dried hairdo. 

The reality star’s parents, Viv and Ralf, were quick to respond to the exciting news in a Twitter post. 

They said: ‘We are delighted that after 3 years together our lovely daughter @GoggleboxEve & Alex have announced their engagement.

‘We are all very happy for them as they are made for each other. Now on to wedding planning. #wedding #weddingplanning.’  

Evie first appeared on the television show with her parents and ex-boyfriend Jay Makin. 

Her ex-lover became a source of entertainment for viewers who were amused by his incredibly dry and lacklustre responses on the show, earning him the nickname of ‘Silent Jay’.  

However, he left the show after the pair decided to go their separate ways, but they still remain friends.
